Standard issue pack designed at the turn of the century and used by all US Army and Marine Corps infantrymen throughout WWI and into WWII as the M1928. THis example is in very good condition, and is marked U. S. 139 on
Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is a superb WWI U.S. Army field gear grouping! All pieces have maker markings and WWI dates, perfect for any "Great War" collection.
- Original WWI U.S. M1910 Haversack by LONG, dated 12 - 17. Standard issue pack designed at the turn of the century and used by all US Army and Marine Corps infantrymen throughout WWI and into WWII as the M1928. THis example is in very good condition, and is marked U.S. / 139 on the front, which is most likely a unit number. It does show wear do the canvas in areas, and there is a tear in one of the shoulder straps, but it's got a great worn in look.
- Original U.S. WWI M1912 Swivel Holster for the .45 Colt 1911 Pistol, marked ROCK ISLAND / ARSENAL / 1915 / L.C.C. on the back. This was one of the standard pistol holsters going into the war, and this example certainly looks it was there. The leather has aged to a lovely dark brown, with intact stitching and service wear as shown. It has had a rivet repair where the belt hanger tore through the top of the loop, and the leg strap was replaced with a much shorter one. It has a nice U.S. brass marking disc on the flap, probably taken from a B.A.R. magazine bandolier.
- Original WWI U.S. M1917 Army "Dismounted Pattern" Canvas lace up leggings, a matched set made by JOS. M. HERMAN, and named to D.A.S. with ink. Inside is the contract number, and also BOSTON DEPOT stamps next to date Feb. 2 1918. These leggings show only light wear, with some age staining and small tear sin places. The laces are in great shape.
